This kit, despite the above is still far sturdier than a smaller version - eg a Gorillapod 325 or 500, if you prefer a heavier type stand with Ball Head. When I acquired this kit, I discovered that (3) of the sockets of the legs have a small crack, possibly from previous use, and are relatively loose compared to all other joints.
